How to Manage a Portal on Leanbe

It is possible to create a Portal on Leanbe to show Announcements, Roadmap, and Ideas in it. It is a perfect way to get in touch with your customers to keep them up to date about the latest improvements. The tutorial will show how to create a portal.

Steps to create a portal

There are 2 ways to create a portal.

Create a portal by using the Create button.

From your Leanbe Dashboard click on Create and choose Create portal from the list.

Manage the following sections for the portal and click Create.

1) Slug: change the slug of the portal URL or else leave the default one.

2) Tabs: choose tabs to be shown on the portal.

Press Accept to finalize the portal creation.

Right after, you will be redirected to the Portal section to customize the newly created portal.

More information on how to customize the portal can be found here.

Create a portal from the Product settings.

From your Leanbe Dashboard open the Settings tab and click Product settings.

Choose Portal from the list and click Create portal.

Create the portal by managing the relevant sections.

Steps to customize statuses of the public roadmap

It is possible to create, edit or delete the public roadmap statuses.

By default, the following statuses are available: Now, Next and Later.

The statuses can be edited or deleted.

In order to create a new status, the following steps need to be taken:

From your Leanbe Dashboard open the Settings tab and click Product settings.

Navigate to the Public roadmap section and click Create status.

Set up the Status name, match the status with the Epic statuses that need to appear on the public roadmap and click Create.

The created status will be available within the status list and can be edited or deleted along with the other statuses. Moreover, it is possible to change the order of the public roadmap columns by using the drag & drop method.

Review the Portal

Once created, check the portal content according to the chosen tabs to be shown inside the portal.

Announcements: to show created announcements

Roadmap: to show epics with public visibility.

Ideas: to show ideas with public visibility by giving the option to upvote ideas and submit new requests as well as to sort ideas by the upvotes and data created.

Likewise, it is possible to connect your custom subdomain to the portal as shown in this article.

That's it! Those were the steps to create and review the portal.
